When I researched on Udaipur Sea Beach, I found that there are so many articles written, where Udaipur is considered as the virgin sea beach near New Digha, Mandarmani, Talsari and Shankarpur. But it is now a popular beach in Purba Medenipur District of West Bengal after Digha, who hates the punks and drug freaks, especially in the peak seasons.

Udaipur Sea Beach is located in the border of Odisha is just 3 km from Digha Station. It is well connected by the tu-tuks and totos. Udaipur is solitary beach than Digha, away from crowd and busy city life.

It is dotted with dense and tall casuarina trees along the shore which can make you feel that to find the self. This uninhabited beach is around three km long and lies between New Digha and Talsari Beach. Now OCEANA Tourist Complex is the popular attraction here. There are very few fisherman huts around who also runs makeshift stalls in the beach and sell fresh cooked sea fish. I got crab curry, fish curry and pomfret curry along with steamed rice in just 500/-.

What I see, I think Udaipur Sea Beach is the romantic sea beach in West Bengal after Mandarmani. Udaipur Sea Beach can be flawlessly your destination for a honeymoon trip.

Ocean Tourist Complex of The State Fisheries Dev Corporation maintained by Government of West Bengal on the pristine Udaipur Beach will amuse you with sea foods, good and clean stay with 19 dwelling units: AC/non-AC double bedded rooms, AC and AC Deluxe cottages, non-AC Dormitory – with superbly landscaped gardens and a huge water body full of fishes.

The tents for the adventure freaks are run by the Tourism Department of West Bengal: a nice place to stay. A nearby guest house also provides good accommodation in cheap budget. The tent is just 3 minutes walking from the beach and can be nice experience to stay.

Everybody say, Digha is the good place for the fish lovers, but Udaipur Sea Beach is now the alternative destination to have fish curry and crab curry with beer. A walk towards the Mohana in the morning, will give you ample number of fishes at a very very reasonable cost, which you can never think of it.

To See:

Bichitrapur in Odisha is around 25 Km from Udaipur. It is located upstream of the mouth of Subarnarekha River and it is popular for mangrove forest. A steamer ride through the mangrove forest is an exciting tour in winter and monsoon. Bichatrapur is developing as an unexplored hot tourist spot. Talsari Beach, will be another destination which is easily be reachable from Udaipur.
